I am positive now that I did not get that job at Advanced Patient Advocacy. I never heard from them. I guess I'm kind of relieved. At the same time... I really need a job! There's nothing opening up that I can find! Go figure - the jobs I DO really want are the ones that aren't even calling me back, and the ones that are calling me back are jobs I'm not sure about.
Today I mailed out an application to work at the Strafford County Child Advocacy Center which is down in Dover. It's a part time position, 24 hours a week, which is a-ok with me! So we'll see how THAT goes! It was kind of a fluke that I found it, so maybe it is fate. Who knows. I'm about to browse through the edjobsnh.com website to see whats there. I'm waiting to hear back on my appeal for my Alternative 5 certification so I can be hired to teach elementary school. Everyone keep your fingers crossed!
I didn't get called in by Rochester to sub at all this week. I suppose that is both a curse and a blessing. John was home on vacation this week, so it was fun to spend the week with him. But at the same time... we really need the money!
*Sigh*
Anyone want to give me about $10,000 to tie us over for a while?
Oh yeah! Get this - I got a message on MySpace the other day from my ex-fiancé. Weird! He was all like "Yeah, I'm married now, we're expecting our first child in about 7 weeks. I am working at a bank and writing some stuff for Stephen King [note: he wanted to be a screenwriter and director, and he lives in Falmouth ME]. So things are going awesome" etc., etc., etc. So I e-mailed him back and said "Oh, yeah, well I got married too, we bought a house, I finished college, life is good" That kind of thing.
Apparently, he and I got married the same month of the same year. I'm just glad that it wasn't to each other!
Oh, and here is the update from Luna's Knits:
You're probably all thinking that I've fallen off the planet or something! Not true! I am still here. I've been working on some misc. projects, nothing really noteworthy, but I will be posting some photos up soon. I finished the baby hat and a baby poncho for someone and will post pictures. Also, I've been working on some dish cloths for the dish cloth exchange I am participating in. Some of them will be patterns for my upcoming available "bath sets" that I will be selling... once I get some of them made up! They are quick knits, nothing should really take more than a day or two, so I am happy to get them going. I will keep you posted when they become available.
My website is now up and is, for the most part, fully functional. Please visit me online at http://luna.radiantknights.com
Since the weather is so crummy today, I have been doing some off and on knitting, but am going to go finish up the dishcloth I am working on now, so I can cast on the next one! Sometimes I'm grateful for bad weather and snow days!
