Happy Day

So I applied for this grant through the DCYF and the UNH Social Work department. I had to have 3 letters of reccomendation, an essay I wrote about why I wanted go go into child welfare, and have an interview with the grant committee. I would get my full tuition paid for the 04-05 school year, plus all fees, plus a $2500 stipend, access to child welfare training and resources, and access to travel for child welfare conference. I would also be required to work for DCYF for however many years I recieve the grant for (so if I go into the field after this year, I work for DCYF for one year). I totally got the grant! :-) It's like... all the pieces have fallen into place, FINALLY! :-) I called my parents and they were all excited, so we're going to party it up in Virginia this weekend while I'm away for my cousins wedding, and John is taking me out to dinner tonight to celebrate. Olive Garden, yum :-)
